A LITTLE PERSPECTIVE
PolitiFact identified more than 100 proposals Trump himself made during the 2024 campaign and currently tracks 75 major promises.
As of September 2026, 15 are rated kept, while dozens of others remain stalled, incomplete, compromised or still in progress.
That does not mean Trump has accomplished nothing. He has fulfilled some campaign promises.
But when any politician makes another eye-catching promise — especially another promise involving thousands of dollars landing in Americans’ pockets — voters are entitled to look at the previous promises before counting the money.
Promises make headlines.
Results make history.
And sometimes, it pays to keep the receipts.
In the meantime, I’m not holding my breath.
